French architect @jeanlouisdeniot has a home in Los Angeles he escapes to because he says “Los Angeles has the most beautiful light.” He may be right. There is something vastly different in West Coast light versus East. And having grown up with the latter, neither of us can quite pinpoint the exact disparity in the two coasts and how they glow so differently from one another. Perhaps it’s because we’re meant to be a City of Angels?

Sneaking this one in close to the tail end of #tranformationtuesday! This client has become one of our dearest friends and she is brilliant, badass, funny, kind, loving, an amazing cook, and one of the best dog mommas around. We started working with her in early 2017 and have, since redesigning her master bedroom, moved into other parts of her 1930s home. But this is where we began! Love to love you, incredible dining room featured in @archdigest and designed by @ashe_leandro. This perfectly exemplifies how every detail matters - the scale, coloration, and subject matter of the art, the proportion, color, and drop length of the pendant, the design and color of the table and its relationship in scale and style to the chairs surrounding it. All of these details, down to the hardware and up to the ceiling, create a f**king awesome space.

Feels like summertime here in Los Angeles so it seems appropriate to post this bright + beautiful shot @michelethomasphoto snapped of us while finishing up our Noho project a few weeks ago. California modern cool with a joyful Palm Springs vibe reigning in the middle of North Hollywood with two of the funniest, most brilliant and gorgeous clients (not shown but tagged here 😂) a design team could ask for! While getting ourselves set for #projectletsgotonoho staging and photo shoot this weekend, we stopped to take a snap of @toomanyterriers Fred on the @westelm staircase of 🌈 PRIDE. Love is love, y’all. We realize we’re in a dark dark place with this current administration...let’s get some powerful AF women and rainbows in power and overturn tyranny and abuse, shall we? 🙌🏽

@jhinteriordesign is making our collective hearts soar with those resplendent staircase spindles. 🙌🏽 Did you know that’s the origin of our name, by the way? We chose something timeless in design, with purpose and beauty, as the “surname” of our design business. And our “first” name? Well, that’s @debvigna’s beautiful “pitbull type” rescue dog, Lily, and she’s all love all the time!

Took Friday afternoon off because holiday weekends in Los Angeles means less traffic, more parking, and fewer people. After an outstanding lunch at @ashlandhillsm we stopped by @loveadorned for some jewelry scoping and design inspiration and my WORD did it ever smell AMAZING in there! They went all in with the dried flowers and herbs and the shop was infused with this earthy, sexy, intoxicating scent. Not to mention how wonderfully these bundles are packaged and displayed. Side note - they also have an incredible back patio with gorgeous ceramics. 🌟
