Small Ceramic Dishes (a pair) - handmade in California

60.00

Perfect for condiments during a dinner party, for catch-alls by the front door, or precious rings and necklaces at your bedside, these diminutive beauties made by California ceramicist Nancy Wright are among some of her most celebrated works, as her small, one-of-a-kind bowls are her most popular and coveted pieces. Indigo and bronze from two individual kiln firings complement each other wonderfully and the slightly differing shapes make this pair even more fantastic. The "W" signature on the bottom of her pieces marks them as her own. Each bowl measure's 2" high and 4" wide.

Wright's studio in Venice serves as her private working space and she sells her beautiful work directly out of said studio, by way of private appointment or the occasional trunk show. She's 85 years old, lives in Venice, California with her writer husband, Jack, and taught high school ceramics at the Palisades HS for thirty years before retiring and beginning her own collection of work available to her faithful collectors throughout Southern California and beyond.
